How long do the results from VOLUMA last?
With optimal treatments, the results of VOLUMA last for up to two years. Right away, you should be able to see improvements from your treatment, which should continue to develop over the following month. You might need several VOLUMA treatments, particularly if you want to significantly increase the volume in your cheeks. Is there any downtime needed after a VOLUMA treatment?
Following a VOLUMA treatment, you can resume your normal activities. However, it's recommended that strenuous activities, like exercise, be avoided for the first 24 hours after your treatment. Your injector will explain post-treatment instructions to ensure your results look great and last a long time. You might apply a cold compress over the injection areas to minimize swelling and bruising. Your injector may also recommend sleeping with your head propped up by a few pillows. You shouldn't touch your face to prevent spreading the filler to other areas.
What are the possible side effects of VOLUMA?
Many patients experience mild to moderate bruising and swelling in the treatment sites for 2 – 4 weeks after their treatment. Other common temporary side effects after a VOLUMA treatment are tenderness, firmness, bumps, discomfort, redness, discoloration, and itching.
